For the past 35 years, Salisbury has set aside the second weekend of October for a tour of eight to ten historic properties. The 2010 tour will begin on Saturday, October 9th and conclude Sunday, October 10th. Meticulously planned and organized by the Historic Salisbury Foundation, OctoberTour stands among the elite historic home tours of North Carolina. It is a short course in architecture, history, restoration and antiques. It has also provided the foundation with funds that helped save or protect some 100 older homes from demolition.

Join us Saturday morning for a pleasant 5K run or a Fun Run through Historic Downtown Salisbury and the West Square Historic neighborhood as part of our OctoberTour weekend activities. As you stride through a mixed flat and hill course, you will be able to witness the town's history and preservation efforts! After the race, enjoy Salisbury's weekend festivities!
