Historic Salisbury Foundation, Inc. is a private nonprofit preservation organization that offers a broad range of services to the Salisbury community. Founded in 1972, the Foundation is in its fourth decade of active participation in planning for the future of Salisbury's special past.

Historic Salisbury has three main areas of emphasis: neighborhood revitalization, landmark preservation, and education. In the area of Neighborhood Revitalization, Historic Salisbury has saved and protected nearly 100 properties in Salisbury and Rowan County.

We also own and maintain three landmark properties: the 1820 Dr. Josephus Hall House; the 1896 Grimes Mill; and the 1908 Salisbury Railroad Passenger Station.

Need a unique facility for your next party, reception, or meeting? Check out the station rental information.

We encourage you to also visit our Membership section and join with us to continue the effort to preserve landmarks and historic neighborhoods.

Historic Salisbury Foundation, Inc. receives no tax money for its operations.
